Safety Initiative Camera Project

In 2011, the Tamaqua Area Community Partnership (TACP) established a local safety initiative.

The objective of the effort is to combat crime, vandalism, violence and blight.

Representatives of the Tamaqua Police Department, the neighborhood watch program, the Chamber of Commerce, the Main Street program, the Elm Street Program, and interested community-minded citizens came together to begin to build an effective response to safety concerns.
