Big Time Crime: A Strategy for Small Cities and Towns, a workshop hosted by the Tamaqua Safety Initiative and funded by LISC (Local Support Initiatives Support Corporation), took place in the Tamaqua Community Arts Center on May 30, 2013.

As headlines of exploding meth labs in local communities continue to resound, concerned residents gathered to learn more about fighting the scourges of drugs, gangs, security, mortgage foreclosures and vacant buildings.

Consultant Timothy Vance of Housing Crime Consultants Inc., created the interactive session especially for those with a personal or professional interest in combating neighborhood crime.
